Hi Everyone, can you please help me figure out some details for the day of my wedding?? Okay, so the ceremony starts at 5pm..what time should I get my hair and make up done, what time should everyone meet up, what time should the flowers be delivered, what time should photography show up, and when should i leave to go the church??? Thanks!!
The day of the wedding??
The photographer could be there while you're getting ready to take pics of the process.
I've never gotten married, but I always liked pics of the Maid of Honor helping the bride into her dress and so forth.
Reply:Doesn't sound like you have a wedding coordinator...if so, leave this to her. Not a lot of details but here's a timeline assuming there will be no pre-wedding pictures...and everyone is riding in a limo together to the church:
-Bride hair %26amp; makeup - 1:30
-Women arrive dressed to Bride's home - 3:15
-Bride gets dressed - 3:30
-Bride's limo arrives - 3:45
-Bride %26amp; Women depart for church - 4:00
-Photographer arrives at church and sets up - 4:00
-Flowers delivered to the church - 4:00 (earlier if the florist is decorating)
-Groom %26amp; Men depart for church - 4:15
-Prelude music begins/guests may enter
-Ceremony begins - 5:00
Reply:Quite a few of these people probably will set the times up with you. Talk to your hairdresser/make up artist and see how long they will take. You may want to get this done first, as it will take the longest. When you refer to 'everyone', I am assuming you mean the wedding party. The women should get ready when you do and the men should get ready when he does. For the flowers, call your florist and ask - more than likely they will know about how long before the ceremony begins that they should deliver and set up the flowers. The photographer should also schedule a time with you that they will arrive - when I booked mine, she already wrote out a schedule so my fiance and I will know where she is the entire day of our wedding. Check with the church about what time you should arrive - our church requests that I arrive 1 hr 15mins prior to the ceremony and my fiance arrive exactly 1 hr prior.. this way we don't see each other. Best suggestion would be to talk to your vendors and venues, they have done this many times and can help you out with exact timing. Best of luck!
Reply:Get your hair and makeup done about 1-2 so youhave time incase it needs to be changed or fixed. Everyone should meet about that time to start preparing.
The photographer can get there at the same time and get some pick of everyone getting ready. Ask the florist thier opinion deopending on weather and what not, you dont want the flowers to wilt. And elave for the church about 30 mins before you have to be there plus drive time. So you have time for a last minute touch up!
Reply:I didnt have that big of a wedding but from what I have heard everyone should show up about an hour early to make sure everyone is set up and everything is running smoothly. Our caterers showed up late... and with cold food...:(... but our families didnt care, so neither did I....just have fun and RELAX. enjoy, just remember its your husbands big day too, dont overlook that....:D
Oh yeah hair and make up should be done last, that way they are fresh for the wedding, but make sure you give yourself wnough room to fix any misteaks... Have fun!!
Reply:Never get married when the big hand on the clock is straight up it is bad luck...sry im very supersticious.
Reply:Depends on your libido
