How do I ask him?~Guys and girls please answer~?

I figured out that I want to ask this guy to a dance......how do I bring this up? What do I say?.......We're really close....been bestest buddies for 2 years...i've asked this guy out before (well actually i had my friend to do it for me) and he ran away to his next class...also....I want to buy him a flower (from a flower drive in school)...and the slip it's delivered with has to have a return name....should I write something romantic like "from your secret admirer" or something simple like "From "~my name~" I need help...I really like (like-like...like Love )this guy, but i am afraid about what my friends will say (he's kinda nerdy)....PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Nerdy guys are kind of HOT!...plus they'll be the ones that go to college and get a SERIOUS degree. So don't pass up the chance on this one. Definately put your name on the flower's slip because if not, then he might not know it's from you and think some other girl sent it. Try writing something like, Love Always, (Your Name) XOXO. That's cute and doesn't have to be like OMG I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU! About the dance, just go ask him yourself. Sending your friends to do your dirty work makes you look like a wimp. What can he do? Tell you no? He won't run away from YOU! Ask soon though before someone else does... He'll go with you, even if it's just as friends. Maybe then you can tell him how you really feel.

approach cautiously -- you have been safe because there haven't been romantic expectations. if he ran away the last time, he might do so again. if you know him well, you might know if he is worried about romance in general (nerdy guys are often awkward and worried about how to do the things that more confident guys go after with gusto)... does he have a girl that he pines after? if you are the comfortable girl in his life, he might be really upset about changing that relationship.



this is why nerdy guys are the best -- what you see is what you get, they tend to have interesting hobbies, they are inventive as boyfriends, and they are sweet mates.
